Lisle Community Character Alliance (LCCA) is a 501C3 organization that has partnered with the Lisle Park District to promote a common vision of character development within the Lisle Community. Through character education our programs strive to teach that being a person of good character promotes healthy life choices. It is our goal that adults and youth alike will embrace and model the six pillars of CHARACTER COUNTS!: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. Membership for this group is open to any adult member of the Lisle community.

LCCA also sponsors the Lisle Teens With Character (LTWC) group. This group is teen-led with adult support and promotes character develop- ment and community involvement in today’s youth through service proj- ects, social events and group meet- ings. Membership for this group is open to all youth grades 6 -12.

Further information can be received regarding LCCA or LTWC from our resource person at the Lisle Police Department, 630-271-4250 or at the Village of Lisle, 630-271-4144. LTWC also has an informational web site at www.lisletwc.org.

Resident/Nonresident Fee Structure A Lisle resident (“resident”) applies to those persons residing within the borders of the Lisle Park District and their immediate family members liv- ing within that household. The resi- dent fee is the amount shown in the program description. Nonresident fees will be 50% more than the listed fee. A current utility bill must be shown when registering to prove residency.

Cell Phone Usage

The use of cell phones in park dis- trict restrooms or locker rooms is strictly prohibited.

No Smoking Policy In cooperation with requests from the Lisle Community Unit School Dis- trict 202 and Naperville Community School District 203, we ask that all program participants comply with the NO SMOKING POLICY. Smoking is prohibited in all park district facil- ities and school district buildings.

Satisfaction Guaranteed Policy The Lisle Park District is committed to providing the best quality pro- grams to our residents. If you are not completely satisfied with the program after the first class, just give us a call. We will send you a Dissatisfied Refund Form, and we will refund your money. It is that easy. (Trips and 1-day events are not included.) Why are we doing this? We want all of our residents and participants to get their money’s worth from our programming. We are convinced that what we offer is of the highest quality and we back that with a guarantee. We ask that you fill out the Dis-

satisfied Refund Form so we can make the program better. Your comments and suggestions are val- ued at the Lisle Park District.

Are You Covered? The Lisle Park District does not carry medical, accident, or loss of personal property insurance for program par- ticipants, as the cost would make the program fees prohibitive. Please review your own personal health in- surance plan to be certain that you and your family have proper cover- age.

Skateboarding, In-Line Skating, & BMX

Community Ramp Park is located in Community Park. This facility is unsupervised and participants ride at their own risk. The park is open from 8am-10pm, and is available for use by skateboarders, in-line skaters and BMX riders. Please help keep the park clean, use barrels for trash. Tennis and basketball courts and parking lots operated by the Lisle Park District are off limits for skate- boarding, in-line skating, and BMX. These areas are reserved for their in- tended purposes and the damage caused by skateboarding, in-line skating, and BMX creates unjustified maintenance expenses. Please obey the Lisle Park Dis-

trict’s rules and regulations. They are set to provide the best possible recreational experience for every- one. If you would like further infor- mation, copies of the district’s rules and regulations are available at the Community and Meadows Centers.

Community Tree Grove Plant a tree in the Community Park Tree Grove as a living memorial - cel- ebrating a birth, anniversary, or wedding - or plant a tree as a gift.

Thank You The Lisle Park District wishes to ex- press its appreciation to the Lisle Community Unit School District 202 and to Naperville Community School District 203 for their continued coop- eration and assistance in providing facilities for numerous recreation ac- tivities.

Travel Team Programs: For park district recreation pro- grams, residents have the opportu- nity to register before non-resident registrants. However, Travel Basket-

ball is an exception where the policy differs. Travel basketball, while still a park district program, is a compet- itive program with a different set of guidelines regarding priority registra- tion and player selection. Residents and non-residents are permitted to register at the same time for Travel Basketball. Under the review of park district staff, player selection will be determined by coaches evaluating factors such as basketball ability, sportsmanship, and time commit- ment. Residents and non-residents will receive equal consideration in the player selection process.
