Dog Obedience Here’s an opportunity for dog owners to learn how to handle and work with your dog while having fun at the same time. Training methods are motivational using positive reinforce- ments. Class content includes walking (heeling) without pulling, sit, down, stand, coming when called, name response, off from food in your hand, jumping on people, stay and being a vet-friendly dog. Voice, as well as hand signals, will be taught for most commands. Topics that will be covered are housetraining, cage training, barking, digging, bite inhibition, and being a good leader. Questions will be taken after class for anyone wanting to ask or listen to them, as not to lose valuable class time. This class is a must for all dog owners who desire a well-mannered dog. Dogs must be at least 4 months of age to attend class. Older dogs also benefit from training, and there is no truth to the saying that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!
