Kids Karate Club Want to be the next Karate Kid? You can with The Kid’s Karate Club Program. This progressive martial arts program teaches the basics in karate, self defense, sparring and safety. This high energy program is specifically designed for children ages 4 - 14. Parents may participate with their children at no addi- tional cost as part of our Parent Helper Program. Family in- volvement and respect are key elements, and children are encouraged and motivated to do their best in all aspects of their lives. Karate uniforms are required and are available from the instructor for $35. There are many karate programs, but only one Kid’s Karate Club. Tae Kwon Do Master Tae Hyung Kim, 2004 Athens Olympic Philippine Team Coach, has been training in Tae Kwon Do for over 35 years and is committed to teaching focus, confidence and respect through Tae Kwon Do. With his experience and great teaching skills, Master Kim has been able to aide many children and adults in their pursuit to better themselves in Tae Kwon Do. Not only will people learn respect, focus and discipline, but they will have great amounts of fun! A uniform (optional) can be purchased from the instructor for $50. (10 weeks) Note: The first session will include all levels.

Beautiful Biomes: Coral Reefs Do you know which coral reef can be seen from space? In this fun, interactive class, you’ll learn the answer to that question along with other amazing facts as you dive into the watery world of coral reefs and the incredible creatures that call them home. Be prepared to make a model of a coral reef, piece together a food web, perform a dissection (of a starfish, clam, crab, or squid), mark where coral reefs are located on a world map, and conduct experiments about currents, tides, and salinity. Note: This is a coopera- tive program with the Woodridge Park District. Age: 5 - 13
