50+ Programs Strength and Bone Density

There is scientific evidence that shows the benefits of weight bearing exercise on bone density. We reach peak bone den- sity in our twenties and begin to lose it in our thirties. This is especially true without proper exercise, diet and with a family history of osteoporosis. This class takes you through a wide variety of light weight bearing exercises to help you stay strong and healthy. Our instructor, Jen Young, holds a Master degree in Exercise Science and conducted her graduate stud- ies on the effects of exercise on bone density. Location: Community Center Room A.
