Dartmouth Week - the best sailing Regatta in the UK?

ood breezes, occasional sunshine made for some excellent yacht racing during last month’s Regatta. Combined with holding the European J109 Championships, the event allowed for some spirited sailing for the 1,000+ yachtsmen and women who took part.
Against a backdrop of one of the most beautiful harbours in Europe, it’s little wonder that other international and national sailing events are planned to take place in Dartmouth in 2012. A big thank you from all the competitors is owed to the many local volunteers who manned the committee, safety and support boats or helped organise the competitors onshore. The pictures opposite provide a glimpse of the action.
