MORE THAN JUST A MAGAZINE! I

t is widely recognised that By The Dart has made a huge difference to how local businesses promote themselves to the residents and visitors of Dartmouth. With a loyal and receptive readership, By The Dart is the best and most influential local publication helping local businesses grow.

But, we’re more than just a magazine. Our creativity, editorial and design skills and a real understanding of how the local economy and local businesses work means we can offer a much broader service. We’re also more than just a print magazine – social media marketing such as through Facebook and Twitter is increasingly important in how businesses communicate with their customers and we’ve fully embraced this. We’ve trained ourselves to use these mediums and are successfully building up a strong following in both. Accordingly, this month By The Dart is launching a new

service (By The Dart Local Marketing Services) to help local businesses take full advantage of the growing prominence of social media marketing yet still be in a position to better exploit other traditional methods of marketing such as leaflet design & distribution, PR etc.

So if you need help in setting up and maintaining a Facebook or Twitter channel by someone who has a real understanding of your local market, then you should be talking to us at By The Dart. We are now also working in partnership with the new community website www. lovedartmouth.com. We can devise marketing strategies around this site and our other media offerings to give local businesses a one-stop solution to reaching all of the local market – you don’t need to talk to anyone else! We’ll also help local businesses with writing press

We’re proud to be

supporting local good causes with

releases and the design and print of direct marketing materials such as business cards, leaflets and brochures (utilising our own resources and network of experienced freelance journalists and designers). We’ll manage the production of these through our strong relationships with local suppliers. We can source great local photography taking advantage of exclusive discounts with preferred local photographers. Does your website need an ‘MOT’? – we can offer a cost effective and exclusive solution via highly reputable 3rd party suppliers. Oh, and don’t forget, By The Dart is more than the monthly magazine – we’ve the hugely popular annual Business & Community Directory (next issue - January 2012) and the already very popular Visitor Map (about to be re-printed after just two months!). We’re also about to launch a special Savers’ Card offering residents great local offers and helping to raise money for local good causes at the same time (details next month). And there’s our popular new series of Business Boost seminars at the Flavel. Finally, we’ve a great and exciting new initiative planned
