THE VIEW FROM THE DARTMOUTH OFFICE

If you want to know what is happening in and around the River Dart just take a look at www.TheViewFromTheDartmouthOffice.com

Every day Andy Kyle snaps the goings on as seen from one place - the office where he and Helen work in Above Town. It is also their home and so very little happens within their view that doesn’t find its way to the website. Between 200-300 photographs each month are uploaded on a daily basis showing life in Dartmouth all year round.

Lots of interest for this shot. Ms SB of Canary Wharf emailed inquiring after his phone number. Other’s (all ladies) suggested it should be the cover shot for our 2012 calendar. I didn’t know we had one.

25 August 2011 09:08 PM On Regatta Thursday, for the first time, the fireworks barge was moved right up in front of us - it’s great what a phonecall can do - a wonderful display. I call this one “The Hamburger”

26 August 2011 06:20 PM The wonderful Fairey Aviation Swordfish. The slowest air display ever. And fantastic.

With the crane at Sandquay now removed, the Navy is getting lift-outs at Darthaven.

▲ 31 August 2011 03:24 PM If only they had seen TheViewFromTheDartmouthOffice.com they would know that the view is better from land.

24 August 2011 02:02 PM It was choppy between the castles. It was even choppier up a mast on a boat between two castles.

But when a spinnaker is jammed, some- one has to be volunteered.

15 August 2011 06:22 AM Liquid gold. An astonishing sky (with no photographic enhancement) over Kingswear.
