EOQHA to Host AQHA All Novice/Rookie Pilot Show

EOQHA is very excited to part- ner with AQHA and OQHA in host- ing the only Canadian AQHA All Novice/Rookie Pilot show to be held on Wednesday July 27th, at the Carp Fairgrounds, in Carp Ontario.

What is the Rookie Show? The Rookie show is targeted towards individuals who do not show at AQHA approved events, but has an interest in competing at the AQHA level against competitors with similar experience. It is also for current AQHA exhibitors who wish to try a new AQHA event.

What is required for an individual to show at the Rookie Show? No AQHA membership is required as all new AQHA exhibitors are given a free 30 day membership.

Do I have to own the AQHA regis- tered Quarter Horse to show at the Rookie Show?

AQHA horse ownership is not required to show at the Rookie show. Exhibitors are free to borrow and compete with any AQHA registered horse.

What will it cost to show at the 1 Rookie Show?

Exhibitors have the option of paying an inclusive all day fee of $60 which will allow them to show in as many Rookie classes as they choose or $12 per individual class.

Will my current tack and show attire be suitable for the Rookie Show?

Exhibitors must wear appropri- ate English and Western attire but the lack of silver on your tack or sequins on your show clothes will not affect your score or placing. The Rookie Show is offered as a “no bling” day which encourages exhibitors to show in jeans and a starched shirt.

Question & Answers on the Rookie Show Day

There will be two exhibitor meetings held at 7AM and noon on show day. During these meetings, exhibitors are able to ask questions to the AQHA Professional Horsemen and request assistance from volun- teer mentors. Mentors will be avail- able to assist with all your show day needs; whether you need assistance with registration, or help banding your horse, people will be there to help, don’t be shy!

Clinics on the Rookie Show Day AQHA Professional Horsemen will be offering informative clinics
