The Executive works hard to plan the calendar of events each year. Thanks to their dedication they ensure there are adequate funds to run the Club effi- ciently. In addition, they have strengthened our rela- tionship with the Ganaras- ka Regional Conservation Authority (GRCA) and both groups are working together to improve the for- est for horses and riders alike. Last year’s highlight was significant improve- ments to the Forest Central Horse Trailer Parking Lot which included:

• Grading and resurfacing the road to the lot

• Trimming trees along the shoulder of the road • Removing sumac and scrub pine trees

• Grading lot to enlarge the parking area to accommo- date another 6-8 trucks and trailers

Two teams of Bel- giums whisked participants around the property. The pair of “seniors” both in their twenties, circled the woodlands while their younger and stronger coun- terparts did all the hard work. Sled-fulls of well- bundled tobogganing enthusiasts were chauf- feured to the farther reach- es of the property and up the big hill as this team

• Widening the trail between the parking lot and Fire Pond

• Dredging and maintaining the pond near the parking lot so horses can drink fresh water

• Planting shade trees near the horse trailer lot

• Parking for 45-50 trucks and trailers.
