Nowhere in the AQHA rulebook does it specify how many pounds of silver must be on your saddle, how shiny said silver must be, number of sequins that must accompany your blouse or how many “X’s” must be in the brim of your cowboy hat. So, don’t worry about it. A lack or over abundance of bling will not affect your score or placing.
There are a few rules and eli- gibility requirements
1. Competitors in Walk/Jog (trot) classes cannot enter in the corre- sponding Rookie or Novice class 2. Competitors may enter the rookie class if they’ve earned less than 10 AQHA points in that cor- responding class.
3. Competitors who’ve earned 0- 25 AQHA lifetime points may only compete in the corresponding novice class
