Dundas Valley Equestrian Ride September 17, 18, 19, 2010
Congratulations and thank you to the riders and two hundred horses for your participation in the tenth annual event in support of the Dundas Valley’s trail system.
The 2010 ride raised
another thirteen thousand dollars ($13,000.00). To date The Dundas Valley Equestrian Association has raised ninety-seven thousand dollars ($97,000.00).
Talented, dedicated peo- ple with a passion for the
Valley come together every year to make this ride suc- ceed. Debbie Carson and her husband Chris Firth- Eagland, Hamilton Conser- vation Authority Chairman, orchestrate and motivate the many volunteers and partici-
pants. Allison Outerbridge is a key organizer contribut- ing to the success of this year’s ride.
The Dundas Valley family Paul Piett, Dundas Valley Superintendent, and Paul Wright, Assistant
Superintendent, Judy Love, Karen Laur and the rest Dun- das Valley Staff selflessly give of their time.
Thank you to Master of Ceremonies Becky Krukowski and Sidekick Mike Ulmer for keeping the
“show rolling”. Thanks also to Auctioneer Clark Merritt for conducting the auction from the back of his well trained quarter horse gelding. Thank you Don McConnell and Harry Gerritson for the succulent roast beef on the spit and the corn. Thank you Kim Koren and husband Frank, your music is “the best”. Thanks again Dave Rushton, “cowboy humourist/poet” for intro- ducing us to an authentic cowboy folklore. We thank farrier Kevin Fair, who was on stand-by all day. Once more we wish to thank Alli- son Outerbridge, Outer- bridge Stables for marking the trail and the crossing guards. We thank the pooper scoopers from Valley Farms and Rory Barry for looking after the fire and anything and everything that needed attention.
Happy Trails to you, until we meet again…!
