Hello everyone, let me just start by introducing myself. Names Peter Nzekwu and this is my first article for Kix so hope you like it!

Ok. Lets get down to business.. I’m going to talk about two topics..

Black History Month and the eagerly awaited 2nd Anniversary of Kix Magazine brought to you by Trevor Kix. Firstly I’d like to say a big Well Done to Trevor and the whole Kix Mag team for such a successful operation

consistently for the past 2 years. Couldn’t have been easy!

From the research that I have done, it seems that the magazine was destined to be a success right from the first issue which had Dj Ironic on the front cover and featured the likes of Lucy Ambache (Choice FM), Nu Bran Flexx, Greg Mckenkie (ITV NEW), DJ 279 (Choice FM), Tippa Irie, Maxwell D,& DJ Hatcha plus much more.

Since then weve gone on to do 12 issues and expanded with 2 branches Kix Nyt & Kix. Management

Kix Nyt has put on events in

Penthouse Leicester square, Embassy (Mayfair), Funky Bhudda(Mayfair), Babalous (Brixton), Sound, Proud Galleries, Mish Mash. And have run guestlists for Vendome, Bar Rumba and also book artists and Dj’s into night clubs for PA’s.

Kix Nyt’s established night is Camden Unplugged a live music showcase with the latest and hottest artists showcasing there material in conjunction with Barnardos Childrens Charity, so proceeds go to the charity and towards the comedy showcase.

Trevor Kix Interview

Peter: Thanks for taking the time to do this interview Trevor. So Trevor, tell me. How does it feel to be involved in Kix Magazine? Trevor: Blessed. I feel blessed. I was able to make something out of nothing. Good

quality work. Something positive that would make people think about the way that they treat each other.

Peter: Did you ever think that it would be this successful?

Trevor: You just don’t know do you? Of course, success is always a target but you’ve just got to take everyday as it comes.

Peter: What motivated you to do it? Trevor: I set it up to create a career for myself and other individuals involved in Kix, but I also set it up because I had kids and needed to do something different. I was fed up of being in and out of different jobs and due to lack of work out there, I decided to created my own. A platform for young aspiring artists or people with talent. Since then we’ve gone on to creating links within the music, fashion, lifestyle, film and games industries to the point where they now come to Kix. I have a good strong team and a dedicated bunch of followers.

We work along side an online music company in Canada called www.bigmouthsonline. com They showcase the latest and hottest artists in Canada

And we work with DJ M Breeze who works for Desert Storm and the Kix Mag hosts their

radio station in NY from Kix Mag home page. I have also had people approached me from LA saying they want to work with Kix Mag

The magazine is top quality. Having people like DJ Ironic, Pink, Michael Jackson, Gym Class Heroes, Alisha Keyz, Bashy, Chipmunk or Ciara and Aggro Santos on our front covers speaks for itself.

Peter: Was there ever a time that your drive for it seemed to fade? Trevor: No because I’m stubborn. I’ve a real do things to the end mentality.

Peter: Did you ever get distracted? Trevor: Nah. I just Ignore the distractions.

Peter: What do you think was the key to your success? Trevor: Quality, Quantity and Content. With most things that we’ve done we’ve always got back good feedback. Even opened up doors in America.

Peter: What do you mean? Trevor: well I mean when I got a call from Desert Stroms (DJ
