EVENTS LISTINGS Camden Market

An area that holds very dear to Kix as it is the venue that we hold our quarterly event at Camden Market.

Originally a horse hospital with burial grounds for injured horses pulling barges along the lock. It has long since been known as the linchpin for the start of new bands & their musical careers. Where it’s impossible to walk too far without bumping into a fully fledged Punk or being intrigued by the look of a Goth. Hundred of shops & stalls are located here housing eclectic tastes in music, clothes, jewellery & antiques. Once you have finished browsing through all there is to see, perhaps you would like to saunter across to Proud Galleries to view the amazing collection of photographic pieces on show. Or take advantage of their bar equipped with an outside terrace.

Then of course, there’s the infamous restaurant Gilgamesh, where its own proprietor actually had his own wedding

ceremony conducted by David Guest.

Camden is the kind of area where you could spend a whole day & night & still not cover all there is to see & do. It’s also an area that you can venture along to & become totally immersed into to its crazily fun ambience.

Family Gamelan Taster Sessions

Something for all the family to enjoy & participate in playing the Javanese Gamelan. It’s a rewarding & very sociable instrument as it is possible for many to play without having had any previous experience. It can also help on so many levels too – with hand eye coordination, listening skills & encourages group bonding. If you want to add a new string to your bow (pardon the pun) & hope to have fun whilst doing so, then this is the one for you & your family.
