Hard to believe that the 1990s are considered retro already – but the world of fashion moves fast. So, this winter it’s the turn of nineties grunge to enjoy a wardrobe revival. For those who don’t remember the incense-scented style statement the first time round, it’s kind of like Rock Chick meets Land Girl chic. A mix of retro floral tea-dresses, leather jackets and workwear boots. For the full retro experience, you could dig out your old Dr Martens and blast out the Nirvana tracks, while staring longingly at your Kurt Cobain posters. The 2010 take on the trend, however, is a little more sophisticated than that. It’s all about grabbing elements of that original too-cool-to-care look, just without the teenage angst. The staple of any grunge girl’s wardrobe is the cute dress teamed with tough jacket and worker boots, abit mad when you say it, but put it together and you will be positively adorable whilst on trend, win win!
