ADULTHOOD AND 4321 STAR ARNOLD OCENG AKA SNAKEYMAN SETS HIS SIGHTS ON WEALTH....
London (18/09/10), After 18 successful years playing central characters in BBC 1 shows, box office hits such as Adulthood, 4321 and much more. Arnold sets up his first business with friend Ralph Brathwaite.
Arnold Oceng has come a long way with loads of doors and opportunities opening since leaving the BBC’s Grange Hill and winning the ‘Best New Comer’ award at the Urban Music Awards in 2006. But after realising the difference between success and wealth, he is now keen to try his hand in business, following the footsteps of so many of his idols.
“Being an actor since the age of 6 has meant that acting really has been my life, but it can take it out of you. Its also so easy to get put into the dark about your own future. So for me ARG is about 2 things, taking control of my own future and helping others.”
Arnold is not alone in this venture. Ralph Brathwaite who has been in business since the age of 21 and founded 2 companies since first meeting Arnold at the premier of Adulthood whilst he was working on the red carpet obtaining footage for his educational company. He then made Arnold company ambassador as he felt at 22 Arnold was a true inspiration to so many of his hard to reach target audience.
“For me ARG is exciting as it’s a chance to express myself as a businessman with 6 years of experience. At 21 I was really keen, but looking back I did things I wouldn’t necessary do again. That’s why like Arnold, for me ARG ticks the box of helping others based on my own learnings, something which I never really had when I started out.”
