Kix: Black Eagle Recordings is the label whats the science behind the name? Young: Black Eagle Recordings is a family of different artists and producers. I am the CEO of the label as well as an artist. In 2011 I am going to be actively releasing artists officially under the label which am very excited about. My forthcoming single will be produced by one of the biggest producers in the UK at the minute; Standishchild. Am pleased to say he is officially a Black Eagle Recordings Artist. The logic behind the name is pretty simple; we all strive to be high flyers in life not just music and our careers; family inclusive. Black Eagles are the most dominant and gracious birds in the skies. They are providers, trend setters and symbols of strength. That is exactly what our label portrays…I say our because we are a family. If you want to get involved and are talented give Kix Magazine a shout and they’ll let us know.
Kix: Who have you performed 2 0 Oc t obe r 2 0 1 0 K i x Ma g
with so far? Young: Where do I start lol Bashy, Snakeyman, Ironik, Tinchy Stryder, Boy Better Know, Dotstar, Skepta, loads of Xfactor acts; I know lol, Mims, Donaeo, KIG Family gonna stop boring you now lol. But yeah a fair amount of artists on repeated amount of times. It’s been an honor gracing the stage with these artists and am sure its been an honour for them too.
Kix: Who would you like to collab with in the future? Young: Am still hoping to work with Dotstar and Sway. I have had the pleasure of talking to them on several occasions. Dotstar actually came down to the “Never Back Down” Videoshoot and it was just a lot of fun; he learnt my lyrics on set with a camera in front of him lool!! Talk about talent. Also performed alongside both of them and hopefully we turn that to something crazy soon.
Kix: Whats the CD your bumping right now? Young: Right now am bumping Disc-overy, Tinie went in!!! Am happy for him. He symbolizes hardwork and
persistence in the industry; loads of sick tracks on there but my favourite is written in the stars. Looking forward to hearing Roachee’s mixtape though; hearing its going to be a masterpiece. GMTA are working on something as well so excited about that as well.

Kix: How do you get your Kix? Young: At the moment am in the studio a lot; which I love. Its part and parcel of being an artist and we call it the “musician’s office”. A lot of artists dread the whole concept of grafting and sweating in the studio; I love it actually!

Thank you for your support and love so far; its been one hell of a ride buckle up and stay for the whole of it. Only jus begun.
