BW Broadcast By Paul Watson

V2 is the next generation FM transmitter line from BW Broadcast. This includes multiband DSPX audio processing, said to provide stations that don’t have a dedicated processor with a better sound ‘right out of the box’. Designed to provide optimum

control to experienced engineers, the V2 models are available from 5W-1,500W, and the first models are now shipping.

‘Gold clamp’ transistors on the TX600 V2 and above can be changed in minutes with just a screwdriver – no need for a soldering iron; and a slide-in universal power supply included

Transport conversion and control

Rascular By Michael Burns

Rascular is showcasing its flexible router control system, RouteMaster, which integrates the company's router control and emulation technology. RouteMaster accepts multiple incoming router control sessions via TCP/IP or RS-422 from automation systems, Helm panels, and other systems using a wide range of industry-standard router control protocols, and in turn converts these to control broadcast routers, also with a wide choice of protocols. RouteMaster can translate

router protocols, for example Probel SWP-08 to Evertz, and offers transport conversion, such as TCP/IP to RS422. It also supports connection multiplexing by adding additional hardware and software control panels to existing routers.

RouteMaster is available in configurations supporting up to 256 incoming control connections, which Rascular claimed offered significant cost savings and simplified cabling compared to conventional serial control expansions. 8.B38a

with the 2U models allows for an ultra-long life thanks to what BW Broadcast defines as an ingenious airflow and an innovative heatsink design. In addition, there is an

Ethernet connection on every V2 and a smart phone App for simple remote management; intelligent alarms and email alerts ensure that busy engineers can manage their

stations with minimal intervention. A realtime clock and comprehensive logging is also available for those who prefer to see a more detailed status, and a high-resolution

OLED display for metering processing makes setup simple, says the manufacturer. The first models are now

shipping. 8.E74
