Trilogy Communications By Will Strauss

Trilogy Communications is using IBC2013 as the venue for the European launch of its Messenger intercom system. The matrix-based intercom bridges the gap between low- end, two-wire party line systems and the more complex and expensive high-end professional broadcast communication systems. The middle-of-the-range product is suitable for both

small scale, simple installations and also highly demanding multi-studio applications. Messenger is on show today, alongside Gemini, the company’s distributed matrix intercom and IP panel range, and Mentor XL, a master reference generator. 10.A29

Enhancements to the Pige Antenne archiving, monitoring, and diagnostics system include management of IP streams, as well as SurCode for Dolby to convert 5.1 surround sound files to the Dolby Digital AC-3 standard. The company's CastGenie on-air graphics system now

comes in an ‘all-in-a-box’ version, for broadcasting high- resolution videos, creating and editing graphics, subtitling for both video and DVB, dubbing video and for anamorphosis effects.

Additionally CastGenie offers HD to SD downscaling, automated management of local cutaways according to the destination and DVB subtitle output. Additionally, all Anyware
