Young Actors Club Join the fun in this wonderful and fast-paced creative drama class. Each week is a new and exciting adventure into the imagination with changing themes, music, costumes, props, playbills and a joke of the week. Learn theater terms, enhance spontaneity, build self-esteem and have a blast! Awards are given on the last day of class. No class November 27.

Whose Line is it Anyway?


Participants will become acquainted with the art of improvisation and learn games that encourage spontaneity and creativity, as well as, techniques that enhance their ability to think outside the box. Participants will develop a character that can be played in a variety of scenes. This fun and fast paced class has many games based on the popular TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway. There will be an in-class performance on the last day that parents are sure to enjoy. No class November 29.

Who Do We Think We Are?


Rock Star? Mad Scientist? Movie Star? Henry the talking cat? Every week you can create a different character with a unique personality and background. You’ll be doing some improvising as you and others create skits around your characters to perform for the class. Use your acting and comedic skills as you stretch your imagination and utilize your creativity. You are welcome to attend in full or partial costume, with or without hand 

Improv Blast/Actor’s Workshop


This combination acting-improvisation class, you’ll play fun theater improv games that develop your creativity to help you to be more spontaneous. Then work with a partner on a short scene written especially for your age group. You’ll be given a script for your scene on the first day. Learn about self-discipline and dependability in relation to the arts as well as the importance of creativity and imagination. An in-class performance will be held on the last day where you can let your talents shine! No class November 27.

In this combination directing/improvisation class you’ll be helping to direct short two-person scenes, develop blocking, and work independently with your actors. Be part of the casting process as the actors audition for roles and make your directing debut on the last day during our in-class performance. You’ll also be playing fun theater improv games that help to develop your own creativity. This class is perfect for those who prefer a “behind-the-scenes” approach to theater and would like to try their hand at directing. No class November 27.

Snow Day Who doesn’t love a snow day? This is a seasonal, indoor, one-day special event class where participants act out skits and play fun theater/improv games - all with a winter theme. You’ll have just as much fun as you would on a real snow day. Be prepared to laugh and have a great time.
