Athletics Winter/Spring 2013 Indoor
Adult Volleyball Leagues More than 800 men and women of different skill levels play in the Downers Grove Park District’s leagues for Men’s, Women’s Competitive, Women’s Recreational and Co-Ed teams. Approximately 10 weeks of play are scheduled for each team. All games are officiated with USVBA rules. Men’s, Women’s and Co-Ed games are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, respectively. League play is tentatively scheduled to begin
Registration is taken on a first-come, first-served basis until all slots are filled. A $100 deposit and a preliminary roster (including all team members’ names and addresses) are due at the time of registration. A copy of each players driver’s license is required if they are claiming residency status.
Returning resident teams (teams with 51% of players returning from the autumn 2013 season and 60% of team members residing or employed in Downers Grove) may register beginning Saturday, October 12 at 9:00 a.m.
New resident teams (60% of team members must pay taxes to the Park District or be employed in Downers Grove) may register beginning Saturday, October 19 at 9:00 a.m.
Returning non-resident teams (teams with 51% of players returning from the autumn 2013 season) may register beginning Saturday, October 26 at 9:00 a.m.
New non-resident teams may register beginning Saturday, November 2 at 9:00 a.m.
The deadline to register is Monday, January 6 at 9:00 a.m.
Roster forms are available at the Recreation Center, Lincoln Center or online at
dgparks.org.
Individuals wishing to be placed on a team may call the Park District at 630.960.7250 before January 6 and leave their name and phone number to be given to any captain requesting additional players.
Mandatory Captain’s Meeting: Tuesday, January 14 at 7:00 p.m. at the Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road, Downers Grove, IL 60515.

Softball Leagues There’s still time to get your team registered for the Fall Adult Softball Leagues! League play is scheduled to begin play on August 26.
