Preschool & Early Childhood
ThreeSchool 2013 - 2014 ThreeSchool is designed for those children who miss the September 1 birthday deadline for the preschool program. Like the Lincoln Learning Center Preschool, ThreeSchool activities are created to enhance the whole child - creatively, intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. Most importantly for early learners, independence and socialization skills are emphasized. Weekly themes, creative expression, circle time and large and fine motor skill development help your child get ready for preschool. Class structure is consistent with the continuing 3- and 4/5-year-old preschool program. Each class has two teachers. ThreeSchool participants receive priority registration for three-year-old Preschool. ThreeSchool Parent Orientation Night, held prior to the start of the program, allows parents to meet teachers and learn details of the program. Information regarding parent orientation
Optional Three-Day Program
Choose to add a third day of ThreeSchool to your child’s schedule. The additional Friday class is based on a first-come, first-served basis. A maximum of fifteen children can be accommodated on Friday. Please refer to the class schedule for the additional Friday dates and tuition.
Tuition Payment
For your convenience, tuition may be paid in four installments. Details are mailed upon completion of registration. A $50 non-refundable deposit secures your space. Tuition payments are as follows:
Monday/Wednesday ....... $128.75/$199.50 (4 installments) Tuesday/Thursday ......... $137.25/$212.25 (4 installments) Friday Option A ........... $63/$94 (2 installments) Friday Option B ........... $80/$120 (2 installments)
Class and Tuition information for the 2014-2015 ThreeSchool will be available in the Winter 2014 Recreation and Parks Guide released in November.
Registration Criteria
1. Registration must be done in person at Lincoln Center registration office, 935 Maple Avenue
2. Child’s age must be verified by attaching a copy of a birth or baptismal certificate to your registration form. No other forms of age verification are accepted.
3. Downers Grove Park District residents must verify residency by attaching a copy of their property tax bill to the registration form. Please call the Lincoln Center if you have questions about your resident status.
4. Submit a $50 deposit (non-refundable).
5. Children must turn 3 years of age between September 2 and December 31, 2013.
6. Children may be in Pull-Ups™ and should be on their way to taking care of their own toileting needs. Children are not required to be potty-trained.
7. Applications are not processed without complete and accurate residency and age verification.

Ready, Set, Kindergarten!
With all new activities offered this session, kids have fun and learn kindergarten readiness skills in a program that extends the preschool day. Qualified and caring preschool teachers work with children in the areas of language, literacy, communication, social, emotional and physical development and arts and sciences. Activities reinforce the importance of the daily classroom routine. A small snack and drink is served during class. Children must be 4 years old by September 1, 2013. Bonus: if your child is attending one of our preschool classes prior to this class, an instructor will escort your child to the Ready, Set, Kindergarten classroom.

Preschool Connection
This extension of the 3-year- old preschool experience emphasizes preschool concepts while reinforcing the importance of independence, communication, literacy, arts and sciences, and social, emotional and physical development. Each week,
qualified and caring teachers review the topics learned in preschool while introducing new projects and activities. Children must be 3 years old, but not yet 4 years old by September 1, 2013. Enrollment in a 3-year-old preschool is strongly encouraged, but not required. No class November 29.
