The Arch London

Waterfront explores the boutique hotel that boasts the finest facilities and the highest of artwork

L

ondon is a cosmopolitan and exciting city with famous attractions, famous eateries and an endless supply of fashionable shops. A day in London

provides a memorable experience but it can also be pretty exhausting. From the Arch, the chic boutiques of Marylebone and Bond Street are easily accessible. After a long day in the city, guests can return to this luxurious urban hideaway for an evening of pure indulgence. Tis is what my partner and I had been hoping for when we arrived at the hotel for our stay. Suffice to say, we were not let down. Te visual beauty of the Arch is the most striking aspect of the hotel. Installations by up-and-coming British artists are showcased throughout the hotel and even include video walls and black and white photography. Our favourite piece was a collage by artist Vincent

Pool; the outline of a woman’s body filled with iconic images from the surrounding area. Te interior of the hotel is so unique and vibrant that you may just find yourself gawping in awe! Te individually decorated bedrooms are

another visual triumph. Checking into our double Suite, my partner and I took in the sumptuous furnishings and beautiful wallpaper. Te in room facilities included complimentary wireless, Nespresso and Jing tea making facilities and soft drinks minibar while the technological side boasted a SKY HD box, internet radio and even a flat screen television at the end of the bath. Te bathroom was luxurious itself, with a rain shower, exclusive Malin + Goetz products and black granite and mirrored finishes. Although we were tempted to abandon our dinner plans and enjoy an evening watching films (the Arch even has a film library), my partner and I agreed that if the room was this impressive then the restaurant would be too good to miss. We were right. HUNter 486 Brasserie is effortlessly cool with its lovely open plan kitchen, leather banquette seats and classic
