Steps ‘n’ Stetsons

Stephanie Stoter and Julie Myers told us that they held a Sunday afternoon tea dance for their Line dance club in Lower Earley recently to raise funds for their charity, Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund. “It was a great day for everyone and while everyone pitched in, Steph and Julie want to say a very big thank you to their bakers, (from left) Diana Wicks, Brenda Nicolaou, Jackie Townsend and Carole Millward. The cakes were splendid and we had great fun working off all those calories

Great Effort!

In October 2012 dancers from Bradford and Leeds joined in a charity Line Dance Social held at Tyersal Residents and Community Centre organised in aid of Crohn’s and Colitis UK. Enid Brook tells us: “It was the culmination of a year’s hard work fundraising. The efforts of everyone involved raised the

magnificent sum of £1,560 that has been split equally between the Leeds and Bradford local area groups. A great effort by everyone involved!”

with the dancing during the afternoon!” Julie and Stephanie would also like to say a huge thank you, on behalf of all their dancers in Lower Earley and Sonning are sending a huge thank you on behalf of all

their dancers, to Wendy and Ray Jarvis who continue their good work in collecting milk bottle lids from everyone and recycle them so that all the proceeds go to the Air Ambulance charity.”

Keep On Dancing

“We recently celebrated the 90th birthday of Line dancer Dorothy Harris,” Rosa Butler says. “She invited us all to her Line dance party here in Liverpool, where Magill played and entertained us. Dorothy danced the night away, including one of her old favourites Lamtarra Rumba. The evening included a special performance of Have You Ever Seen The Rain by Pat, Margaret and Sheila. They dressed up with raincoats, wellies and
