Page 97 Unitronics: Snap-In I/O Vision Modules

Quincy, MA — New from Unitronics is the latest member of its Snap-in I/O Module series: the V200-18- E46B. This new module brings more flexibility to the Vision™ series con- trollers by supporting even more I/Os, all in one low-cost unit. The company’s unusual PLC +

HMI package exempts machine man- ufacturers from setting up Panel- PLC communications — saving pro- gramming time, cabinet space and money. This single Ladder Logic pro- gramming environment is part of the company’s all-in-one package, and is available at no additional cost. Connecting directly to the back

of a Unitronics Vision200™, Vision - 500™, Vision1040™ or Vision1210™ series PLC+HMI, the new V200-18- E46B Snap-in module now supports a total combination of 46 analog and digital inputs and outputs. The key feature that differentiates this Snap- I/O from other Unitronics Snap-I/Os is the fact that it can support 9 ana- log inputs. In total, it includes: 18 Digital inputs (including 2 shaft encoder inputs), 9 analog inputs, 15 relay outputs, and 2 high-speed digi- tal outputs. The I/Os are a convenient,

affordable way to “snap” a variety of I/O combinations directly to the back of most “Vision” series PLC + HMI controllers. Most “Vision” series con-

Xenon Corp. Unveils Next Gen Sintering

Wilmington, MA — New from Xenon Corporation, the Sinteron 2010 reportedly delivers even greater flex- ibility for sintering conductive Cu and Ag metallic inks, curing thin- film substrates and for solar and sur- face modifications. While the most recent generation — the Sinteron 2000 — had four preset values for the pulse widths, the Sinteron 2010 allows for digitally programmable pulse widths. The ability to dial up just about any desired width makes the new furnace extremely flexible and valuable to process development. A number of attractive features

are designed into this 19-in. rack- based standalone system. The pulse amplitude can be adjusted like the Sinteron 2000. The pulse width for the Sinteron 2010 is adjustable in incre- ments of 5µs in the range of 100µs to 2,000µs. By having total control of the pulse amplitude and pulse width, the optical energy delivered by the system can be precisely controlled. As the pulse profile is very linear at maxi- mum amplitude a relationship of 1000J/ms can be assumed. The Sinteron 2010 allows con-

nection for either Spiral or Linear Lamp housings. These can provide optical footprints of 19 x 305mm (0.75 x 12-in.) or 127mm (5-in.) diam- eter areas. Because the company manufactures lamps and lamp hous- ings, other optical profiles are readi-

ly available. Contact: Xenon Corporation, 37

trollers enable the user to pick and choose from an assortment of Snap- in I/O combinations to fit their specif-

ic application needs. A whole system’s requirements can be fulfilled with just one “Snap”. With additional expansion modules, mounted locally or remotely up to 1000m from the controller, Snap-I/O configura- tions can be expanded up to 1024 I/O. Solitary Snap-in I/Os (without expansion units) typically range from 30 to 62 I/O. Basic Snap I/O options can include: digital and analog inputs and outputs, high- speed I/O, PT100/Thermo -

couple capabilities, and weight meas- urement.

Additional features of the

“Enhanced Vision” series controllers (V1210, V1040, V570, V350, V560, and V130) include: A USB program- ming port, recipe capabilities, Micro SD card memory storage for data log- ging and backup, and complete PLC cloning. Communication options include Ethernet, cellular, and industrial protocols such as MOD- BUS, DF1 slave, J1939, and CAN -
