Aehr: Full-Wafer Contactor Testers
Fremont, CA — Aehr Test Systems has shipped its 100th full-wafer con- tactor for use in its FOX™ family of products for wafer sort test and wafer level burn-in applications. According to the company,
full-wafer contactors are becom- ing a significant portion of its business. Its full-wafer contactor technology is unusual because the contactors are used for paral- lel testing high die-count wafers in a single touchdown. The sys- tem has successfully contacted and parallel tested some wafers with over 10,000 die and others with 60,000 contacts. Most of the company’s full-
wafer contactor designs are for 300mm wafers, it also builds full- wafer contactors for very high die count applications on smaller wafers, such as 3-in. (76mm) wafers. Many contactor designs are more challeng- ing than those for conventional probe cards because the contactors have to operate over a wider range of temper- atures, often up to 170°C for automo-
tive wafer level burn-in applications. Aehr Test Systems’ full-wafer

minal block and output voltage adjustment potentiometer give the power supply the versatili- ty to be used as a power solu- tion in a large assortment of applications. The new series has a uni-
versal input voltage range of 88 to 264VAC. Output voltages of 5, 12, 24 and 48VDC are offered, with efficiencies up to 83 percent. The supplies have protective features that include short circuit, over-voltage, and overload protection. The metal cage type chassis mount case is designed for free air convection cooling. The supplies are rated for 3000VAC isola- tion, are RoHS compliant, and have
