Page 35 GPD Global: New Hi Res Fluid Dispensing

Grand Junction, CO —GPD Global is showcasing its Positive Cavity Displacement (PCD) “H” Series high-

resolution fluid dispensing pumps. According to the company, the

new pumps provide next-generation volumetric dispensing and are com- patible with materials used in elec- tronics assembly such as epoxies, thermal greases, underfills, oils, sili- cones and UV encapsulants, as well as materials outside of the electron- ics industry. PCD Technology is designed for

GPD Global platforms and may be used with other robots or tabletop operations with an easy-to-use table- top controller. Viscous fluids are delivered to

the substrate via luer nozzles and performance improves when using

the company’s “S” Taper tips. The metering technique is not affected by variations in temperature or reser- voir pressure, thereby improving day-to-day and start-to-finish process results. The enhanced flow rate luer dispense tips offer higher flow rates than standard luer nozzles with a much lower pressure buildup. The company is also demon- strating the PCD and MicroDot tech- nologies on its MAX Series platform. Max Series dispensing systems offer high accuracy, precision dispensing over a wide range of applications. The Max Series platforms are suit- able for die attach, underfill, MEMS, micro-volume conductive adhesive

and paste applications. Max Series equipped with Micro-volume technol- ogy enables dispensing for 0201 com- ponents as well as die attach adhe- sives. Further expanding the Max Series capabilities with the continu- ously volumetric PCD dispense pump reportedly yields outstanding results with underfills, encapsula-

tion and LED applications. Contact: GPD Global, 611 Hollingsworth Street, Grand Junction, CO 81505 % 800-742-5473 or 970-245-0408 fax: 970-245-9674 E-mail: request@gpd-global.com Web: www.gpd-global.com

Ascentech Introduces GEN3 Ionic Cleanliness Tester

Chester, CT — Ascentech LLC, the North American distributor for GEN3 Systems Ltd., is introducing Gen3’s new CM-Series Large-Format Ionic Cleanliness Test System, call- ing it the first of its kind.

GEN3 PCB cleanliness test system.

The CM-Series Ionic Cleanli -

ness testers are well-established with more than 2,000 systems in - stalled worldwide. GEN3 has recent- ly up-dated its line of ionic test sys- tems with the addition of a large test chamber measuring 24 x 24 x 3.6-in. (609 x 609 x 91mm) to the CM33 model. All of the CM-Series testers include: fast (3 minute) test time; full test cycle including regeneration time = < 6 minutes; unique solid gold measuring cell, ballistic amplifier providing a test accuracy of <0.005µS/cm; unique curve-fitting analysis algorithm (Merit of Fit). The testers utilize a solid gold

test-cell, ballistic amplifiers, and high volume pumping systems to ensure superior measurement precision even at very low conductivity values. The high volume pumping system pro- duces complete test solution change more than 6 times per minute, result- ing in faster test times, more sensitive measurement, and superior surface

contamination detection. Contact: Ascentech LLC, 127
