Enercon Wins C2 Innovation Award for

Plasma Surface Treatment

Menomonee Falls, WI — Enercon In- dustries was presented with the C2 Innovation Award at ICE Europe in recognition of the development of Plasma4™ surface treatment tech- nology. This revolutionary pretreat- ment technology is acknowledged for breaking ground in productivity, ecology and economy. Plasma4 was chosen by an international jury charged with identifying most inno- vative products, processes and tech- nologies in the field of paper, film and foil converting developed within the past two years. Plasma4 offers converters a

new surface treating solution which provides high and long lasting treat- ment, extremely low gas consump- tion, and the ability to switch from a plasma to corona mode. With this

system, electrode breakage is elimi- nated while alleviating previous line speed and web width limitations. Au- tomatic air gap adjustment and the ability to treat while virtually elimi- nating ozone are additional key ben- efits for converters. The system is a result of the

company’s decade-long expertise in engineering and commissioning pro- duction grade plasma systems. The surface treating system adds value to engineered films, wovens and nonwo- vens by cleaning, etching and func-

tionalizing surfaces. Contact: Enercon Industries
