Leeds Spa recognised for customer care


The Potting Shed Spa in Leeds has been recognised by the Customer at the Heart initiative with their inaugural Customer FirstAward.

Italian skin care Grafton International, distributors of luxury Italian skin care brand Comfort Zone, recently held a series of ‘Discovery Days’where delegates were invited to attend a selection of seminars and networking with fellow Spas and salons.


Discovery Days were held in London, Tamworth andManchester and speakers fromComfort Zone UK and Italy delivered presentations to inspire and motivate delegates. Guest speakers included HotelVerta SpaManager KarineVeniere, Chair of British International SpaAssociation Berni Hawkins and Rockcliffe Hall Spa Director Liz Holmes.

Luxury hospitality company Jumeirah Group has appointed two new Directors for two of itsTalise Spas in Dubai.


LindsayMadden-Nadeau is the newly appointed Spa Director of Talise Spa inMadinat Jumeirah, joining fromRaffles Dubai and having 14 years’ experience in hospitality including a full licence in registeredmassage therapy.


Paul Hawco recently joined Jumeirah Zabeel Saray as the Spa Director ofTalise Ottoman Spa fromtheWillow StreamSpa at the Fairmont Pacific RiminVancouver, Canada. Paul graduated with honours fromthe Canadian College ofMassage and Hydrotherapy in 2000 and has 16 years’ experience in the Spa and wellness industry.


TeesValley Spa opens


Wynard Hall in theTeesValley has unveiled its new Spa, following a £500,000 investment.


Nestled on the edge of a lake overlooking private parkland, the Spa features four treatment rooms, a nail bar and a relaxation roomas well as a Rasul Mud Chamber, Salt Inhalation Room, Herbal Sauna and an outdoorVitality Spa for ultimate relaxation.
