What does 2012 hold for Elegance?
“A total re-vamp!We are hoping that this area (the nail bar) will be re-decorated, including a new floor, early on in 2012.”
What advice would you give to new businesses?
“My best piece of advice is never change your product, if it works and your clients like it, why change it? If you can afford to, then I’d say do pick the best courses andmake sure you do your research so that you are knowledgeable about the industry.
“Also, everyone who works at Elegance is self-employed and it seems to work very well for us.”
In the heart ofWarwickshire countryside and surrounded by independent hairdressers and quaint shops sits Elegance Nail and Beauty Salon. As soon as I walk in through the door and enter the dainty looking salon I am greeted with smiles. I amtold Julie will bemy nail technician and she promptly comes over to apologise that she is running a little late and instantly asksme if I would like a drink.

As I sit in the waiting area it is clear that it is a very popular salon and it is easy to see why. Fromwalking through the door it’s obvious that the teamwant to pamper you andmake you feel relaxed.
Julie takesme to her table nestled in the corner and begins to prepmy nails by buffing, clipping and filing
them.As she does this Julie discusses withme what colour I would like, and whips out Bio Sculpture hand painted colour stix. Struggling to choose one colour from the vast selection, we picked out a few of the darker shades and Julie put them againstmy skin to see which would best suitme.
By process of elimination we decided on number 60, Chocoholic gel polish, which Julie says is a popular choice. Julie first applies a coat of Bio Sculpture Gel tomy left hand and whilst that cures under the UV lamp, she doesmy right hand. She then applies two coats of the Chocoholic gel polish. Once cured a top coat is applied to finish off the hour long manicure.
Before I left, Julie toldme the gel should last between two to four weeks I loved the dark chocolaty colour with a hint of sparkle and the professional finish of the gelmanicure.
