skin analysis
The Skin Scope will read the skin’s moisture and oil levels, read the skin’s pore size, test elasticity, test smoothness, transparency and sensitivity and read wrinkle depths. It will then create a bespoke skin type analysis and description from these readings and results, and from this create a bespoke corrective salon treatment and homecare guide. Then during a course of treatments, clients can return to the Skin Scope to see before and after results.
A similar service is offered to iiaa salons and clinics, using theVisia Skin Analysis machine. Salons stocking the Environ range are encouraged to hold skin analysis events, which the iiaa offer free of charge to support stockists. They are hosted in-salon by a team of specialist skin consultants and are designed to help create customised skin care regimes for a your clients while dramatically increasing product sales and building customer loyalty. There are two types of events: the Skin Analysis Consultation and the Environ Taster Experience.
During the SkinAnalysis Consultation one of the team of regional iiaa skin care experts visits the salon, bringing theVisia ComplexionAnalysis machine. The salon schedules 45 appointments for eight clients to be seen. This highly advanced system looks at problem areas below the surface, such as sun damage, hyper- pigmentation, broken capillaries, wrinkles and blocked pores.
The Visia systemanalyses spots, pores, wrinkles, evenness, Porphyrins, and UV spots.
Powerful imaging technology scans the skin and even allows them to artificially ‘age’ clients, showing them how they could look without proper skin care. The skin analysis advisor recommends products for use at home and in-salon treatments, helping to boost product sales and deliver more focused treatment programmes.
During the Environ Taster Experience clients also have their skin analysed with theVisia machine, and the skin
care expert performs a 20-minute ‘taster’ facial. The treatment will be tailor-made to address specific skin concerns that have been highlighted in the scan. This introduces clients to Environ treatments and encourages them to book a full course. Salon owners book six one-hour slots for clients for the day of the event. Danielle Coller, skin analysis events manager at iiaa who created the new format ‘Taster Experience’ event says: “This is a very personal tailored experience. People who want to see results and like learning about their skin love to receive professional guidance.”
So when you’re next holding a client consultation consider whether you’re fully equipped to offer them the best you can. Does your client fully believe in the treatments or products you are recommending to them, or would your consultations, and therefore resulting sales, benefit from the added support of proven skin analysis findings?
