With Karora, available fromPro Salon Direct, both you and your client will discover unique, skin boosting formulas that nurture, nourish and
revitalise. At the heart of every Karora product is a potent blend of pure active botanicals brought to life in their formulas to deliver a natural treat to the
skin. All Karora products are made using only organic and natural extracts and contain no parabens, artificial fragrances, synthetic colours or harsh chemical ingredients.
Alternatively, Jane Iredale’sTantasia makes sun-kissed, seductive colour available to clients at any time of the year in an easy, safe andmoisturising formula that suits all skin types and can be applied anywhere on the face or body. No extra moisturiser is needed because the wheat protein provides natural hydration, there is no after-smell and the formulation contains a refreshing citrus scent.
There are four key ingredients inTantasia that create a natural looking, long lasting tan, includingAcetylTyrosine andMonks Pepper, Copper Gluconate and Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). “Monks Pepper Extract, acetylTyrosine and Copper Gluconate help to stimulate a natural tanning response, with or without the sun,” says Emma.
Vita Liberata have reformulated their entire range so that all products are 80 percent organic.
“The DHA inTantasia has been bonded to a natural vegetable amino acid compound and is brand new
technology. This is the first time that DHA has been buffered and, as far as we know, very few self-tanning products use this
technology. The buffering means that we avoid streaking and are able to use far less DHA thanmost tanning products. When spread on the skin, the acetylated amino acid is hydrolysed by the enzymes of the epidermis and then combines with DHA for instant
colour. The lower DHA level alsomeans there’s no unpleasant after odour and the addition of citrus and caramel extractsmake for a lovely scent.”
Vani-T’s Liquid Sun contains a blend of natural and organic ingredients as well as essential oils, all of which act as an odour inhibitor.
Formulated usingAustralian natural and organic ingredients, Vani-T’s Bronzing Custard and Liquid Sun provide a beautiful, natural looking
tan.The Bronzing Custard is a gradual tanner with a high DHA content, meaning less product is needed. The natural and organic ingredients such as marine collagen, aloe vera, jojoba and sunflower oil nourish, firmand hydrate the skin improving the skin’s elasticity, tone and texture.
Liquid Sun is an easy-to-usemist providing a deep, natural tan.A unique blend of natural and organic ingredients and essential oils act together as odour
inhibitors, so there are no tell-tale tanning smells. Because the product is naturally based, there are no nasty chemicals, petro- chemicals, mineral oils, glycols or parabens. Rich in antioxidants and Australian botanical extracts, the ingredients enrich the skin, leaving it radiant and glowing.
Vita Liberata has reformulated its entire tanning range so that all products are now dermatoligically tested and 80 percent
organic. The tans are all packed with natural extracts such as ylang ylang, seaweed, pomegranate and grape, which guarantee an odourless tanning experience, and now also include the nourishing moisture complex Pentavitin to ensure an even, natural fade.
None ofVita Liberata’s formulas contain any ‘toxic’ ingredients, perfume or alcohol, and they care about sourcing the healthiest andmost natural ingredients for their
products. The brand offers an extensive range of at-home products, including mousses and gels, in tinted and untinted formulas, ensuring there is a product to suit
all. They also offer two different types of professional spray tan formulas, the Original which uses a cosmetic bronzer as a guide colour, and the Invisi-Tan, which is applied with a clear formula (to avoid any marking on clothing or bed sheets). Both spray tan formulas come in three different shades, again ensuring that there is a tan to suit all.
