TDocents Wanted! he Museum is actively seeking new docents to join its
crew. Become an integral component in preserving history's future. Docents lead group tours through the Museum. Flexible hours. Training provided. A willingness to help keep history alive is the only requirement. Contact Museum Supervisor Julie Bunke at

L Museum Outreach Programs et the Museum bring history to you! Learn about
genealogy, preserving family heirlooms and the Museum profession. Programs can be tailored to your group’s interest and age level and includes a hands-on component.
TScout & Youth Group Programs he Museum offers a variety of hands-on, educational
programs for scouts and other youth groups. Sharpen your thinking skills and explore your community’s past with an interactive group activity. Topics include maps of Downers Grove, historic architecture, cemetery walks and Victorian manners and games. Programs can be tailored for your group’s age level and specific interests upon request. Staff will help match your organization with an excellent program. Programs may fulfill various scout badge requirements.
Let the Museum supplement your child’s home school educational experience. Kids ages 8 - 12 years participate in age appropriate hands-on activities and projects, which will engage them in their community’s history. Choose from a wide range of topics or customize a program.
Downers Grove History for Homeschoolers
JVolunteer Gardeners Wanted oin the Museum’s volunteer team and maintain the new
vegetable heirloom garden. Help with planting, weeding, harvesting and related programs.
Teacher’s Professional Development TWorkshops
he Downers Grove Park District Museum is an Illinois State
Board of Education (ISBE) approved professional provider. Teachers earn CPDUs for participating in these workshops which are specially designed and cover methods, information and resources available for use in the classroom. Activities provided meet state curriculum standards. Workshops may be customized upon request. Gather a group of teachers together and reserve your workshop today!

Family Victorian Valentine Creations
