CITRA (Community Involvement Through Recreation Activities) is a peer leadership group within the Downers Grove Park District. The group is open to any high school student who is looking to strengthen leadership and communication skills by planning trips, concerts, service projects and events for other high school students. Come support your local musicians as teen bands rock the Lincoln Center auditorium. All performing bands receive a portion of the admission fee from the night. Doors open at 7:00 pm. The concert is supervised by park district staff. Bands interested in performing should call 630.963.1300. Age:

One of the most common difficulties students encounter on standardized tests is the problem of time. Many students would score higher if they didn’t run out of time. This workshop helps students learn speed reading strategies that can help them finish the test and score higher. Simple strategies that are ideal for use on reading comprehension portions of the test will be covered. Age:

Enjoy this exciting, accessible course’s mining scenes, waterfalls and landscaping. The 18-hole course features a water wheel, a water tower, a mining car on a track, wishing well, chuck wagon, and a jailhouse. Logs, rocks and contours challenge players of all ages and skill levels.
ACTIVE ADULT SPECIAL MONDAYS:One active adult (55 or older) is free as part of a paying two-some.

The Concession
McCollum Park Miniature Golf Course is a great place to celebrate birthdays and have school, scout and church group outings. Reservations must be made 7 days in advance at the concession or by calling 630.960.7250 before April 13 or 630.963.8793 beginning April 14. A minimum of eight is required along with parental supervision. Party packages include 18 holes of golf and food.
Before or after your golf game, stop by the concession for some great food and snacks. The concession is open daily during miniature golf hours. The friendly staff is ready to serve a wide variety of items including hot pretzels, nachos, pizza, hot dogs, nondairy soft-serve cones and soft drinks. Check out our “meal deals.”
