Men’s Summer Basketball League
Our men’s basketball league is for players who want to participate in a traditional open-paced league. Each team plays a 10- game regular season on Monday nights followed by a playoff. League play is governed by I.H.S.A. rules and regulations with local exceptions adopted.
To be considered a resident team, 60% of team members must pay taxes to the park district or be employed in Downers Grove. Players must submit copies of their driver’s license or employment pay stub of a company within park district boundaries. At the time of registration, a $100 deposit is due as well as a preliminary team roster, including names and addresses of all team members.
Teams may register at the Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road, Downers Grove, anytime after their priority date on a first-come, first-served basis until all slots are filled. Register as soon as possible after your priority date.
Registration for the Downers Grove Park District’s 2012 Men’s Basketball League will be accepted as follows:
Returning Resident Teams (teams with 51% of players returning from the 2011 seasons and 60% players paying taxes to the park district or employed in Downers Grove) may register beginning Saturday, January 28 at 9:00 am.
New Resident Teams (teams with 60% players paying taxes to the park district or employed in Downers Grove) may register beginning Saturday, February 4 at 9:00 am.
Returning Nonresident Teams (teams with 51% of players returning from the 2011 seasons) may register beginning Saturday, February 11 at 9:00 am.
New Nonresident Teamsmay register beginning Saturday, February 18 at 9:00 am.

Adult Baseball SLeague
till think you can play some ball? Get your
friends together and get back out on the field. This league will play modified IHSA rules. The league will play each week on Saturday or Sunday in the morning or afternoon and play a 12 game schedule followed by playoffs at the end of the season. Games each week will either be a double header or single game. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. A $100 deposit is required along with a preliminary roster, including team members names and address at time of registration. A copy of each players driver’s license is required if they are claiming residency status. Individuals wishing to be placed on a team may call the park district at 630.960.7250 before March 31 and leave their name and phone number to be given to any captain requesting additional players. If enough individual players are looking, a team may be made up of those players to play in the league. Captain’s meeting Wednesday, May 23 at 7:00 pm at the Recreation Center. Age:

We are proud to offer a volleyball league for those who are 40 years old or older. There will be 6 weeks of play scheduled for each team. All games are officiated with USVBA rules. Games are held on Monday evenings starting at 6:30 pm.
