The basics of ice fishing will be covered in a hands-on instructional program. Safety, equipment, fishing techniques and tips for fishing at forest preserve lakes will be included. Lake fishing will be done, weather permitting. All equipment and bait is provided. Park in the main lot at Herrick Lake off Butterfield Road and follow signs to the cabin. Age:

Basic Dog Obedience


Positive reinforcement methods keep tails wagging while dog owners learn to prevent and modify inappropriate behavior. Basic commands of sit, down, stay, come, walk on leash and more are covered. Class is conducted through lectures and demonstrations; where having fun is key to learning. Dogs must be 4 months of age and older with completion of their first set of shots. Handlers must be at least 8 years of age with an adult or 16 years without an adult. The first class is a mandatory lecture without dogs. Age:
