Teen Travelers The following teen trips and programs are a cooperative effort of the park districts of Bolingbrook, Downers Grove, Lisle, Westmont and Woodridge.


ISnow Tubing - School’s Out! t’s time to pursue snow-filled fun on the slope at Villa Olivia in


Bartlett as your tube whisks you down the hill. Enjoy run after run with your friends by taking a lift that pulls you back up the hill. Fee includes transportation, tube rental and lift. When registering, you must fill out the Participant Information Sheet and the snow tubing waiver that can be found at our website, www.dgparks.org in the teen program section. Please bring a $5 deposit for your tube rental. Concessions are available for purchase. Departure is from Woodridge Park District, 2600 Center Drive. Registration deadline is February 17. Age:

Stay up all night as the slopes of Chestnut Mountain Ski Resort will be open exclusively for Illinois Park Districts. Have fun snowboarding, skiing, playing in the arcade, hanging out at the bonfire and eating at the snack bar. Waiver and information forms will be mailed. Please arrive early to check-in with your completed waiver. All waivers must be complete to attend. Please arrive early to check-in. ACT Practice Tests


A practice test is crucial to ward off those test day jitters and predict how you may score on the real thing. Experience first-hand what test day is like. A representative from Kaplan will provide a proctored ACT practice test and scores will be returned to each student with analyzed results. Please bring a healthy snack and a drink, #2 sharpened pencils and a calculator. Wear comfortable clothing. Cell phones will not be allowed. Seats are limited. Sign up today! Grade:

Music has been a vibrant part of American Culture since its founding hundreds of years ago. Immigrants brought with them an array of songs and instruments from their native lands, which mixed together to create the music we know and love today. Trace modern music back to its roots with four exciting seminars covering the genres of: Blues/Rock ‘n’ Roll, Folk, Bluegrass/Country, and Jazz/Funk/Hip-Hop. Multimedia presentations will take you on a journey through time and space to the different eras of American music. Each participant will receive a CD documenting the musical journey.

Krush Skate Park


Come join us in a trip to Chicagoland’s largest indoor skate park. When it’s time to flash those board skills there’s no better place. Krush Skate Park represents an unmatched commitment to skateboarding…the building has been designed and built from the ground up specifically to accommodate a skate park. Teens must have a waiver signed by their parent. Helmets are required (the rental fee is included in the fee below) and knee, elbow, and wrist guards are recommended. There is a concession stand on location so please bring additional money for food. Skateboards only please, unfortunately we do not have room on the bus for bikes and scooters. Be ready to run as we join the fun at the Funtime Square Paintball Field in Alsip! The paintball fields set up with a mix of man- made objects and allow players to utilize objects found in the real world. These objects and elements include ruins, abandoned cares, walls, barrels and various hiding places. Wear comfortable clothes and gym shoes, and bring along money for lunch and snacks. Program fee includes: equipment rental, 500+ paintballs and transportation. Please note: there is an additional waiver required for this trip which will be mailed to you.
