CLUBBING AGENDA
Summer 2011 will see thousands of people make their party pilgrimage to the ultimate rave utopia that is Ibiza; ‘Beefa; the White Isle. There’s something unexplainable about the place’s combination of sun, super-sized clubs and synthesised sounds that ravers all over the world find too alluring to ignore.
This year, the island’s musical remit is widened, drifting further and further away from the predominantly house- focused days of yore, but at the same time heading back to halcyon days gone by, when DJ Alfredo ruled the roost with his vastly arcing, anything-goes sets. So, too, are there new clubs and parties (Sankeys, Together Presents Tonight) and old favourites (Cocoon, We Love…) mixed with glammed- up affairs and more serious events, all playing out in beach bars, hangars, swimming pools and zoos.
