DUB DIAMOND WEST END Bang in the heart of the West End, with London DJs, good music, cheap drinks and sexy dancing girls. Nice and comfy, a great place to chill with a smoking terrace. Good vibes for pre-parties, and they have been known to throw a few fancy dress shindigs.

HED KANDI AVENIDA DR FLEMING A new addition this year, the Es Paradis night and music label have branched out into cocktails. Scantily-clad bar girls serve reasonably-priced cocktails. The party starts early in here and there is a merchandise shop next door.

HUSH WEST END The buzz around Hush remains, and shows no signs of diminishing. Definitely the coolest place in the West End. With a slick-and-simple interior, stunning soundsystem and much-coveted DJ booth, the successful formula of nightly promotions and popular workers’ parties hasn’t changed. Ones to watch this year are Flux on Fridays and Judgement Sundays resident Tristan Ingram’s Tuesday night.

ITACA AVENIDA DR FLEMING Just back from the sand, its architecture is pretty phenomenal. A cross between an ancient temple and some Greek ruins, Itaca serves tapas as well as drinks, and the music is strictly Balearic. Laidback daytime attitudes are followed by more up-tempo party vibes.

KANYA CALLE SOLETAT Great to watch the sunset from, and it also hosts a pool for the public. Why not spend a whole day recovering here, rather than just popping by for drinks? Poolside chilling, a good beachside menu, and a perfect pre-party place as well.

KUMHARAS CALA DE BOU Another sunset bar, this is one dedicated to hippy vibes. You may well have an orchestra of bongo players and a didgeridoo if you are lucky. Its Thai-style decor of Buddha fountains and dragon seats mean it feels like a little otherworldly escape away from the busy San An streets. They also serve Thai- inspired food that’s not too dear.

ORANGE CORNER AVENIDA DR FLEMING One of San An’s bright, open-planned places and open from 10am-2am, this is a perfect little beach spot. They have a whole host of the up-and-coming season residents from across the island, and reasonably-priced food is also available — nothing too fancy, just good, honest

fodder in the form of salads, pasta and sandwiches. There’s also a happy hour that offers buy one get one free! Bonus.

PLASTIK AVENIDA DR FLEMING Neighbours with Hed Kandi, this place promotes itself as an alternative destination to the bigger clubs, when you want a smaller scale night. A sociable meeting point with a friendly atmosphere, Lily Allen once worked here.

SAVANNAH SUNSET STRIP A huge seating terrace, but also a very busy spot once sunset comes around, so get there early. Or get there really early, and enjoy breakfast before a day out. Many of the island’s big name DJs will perform warm-up sets here — Judge Jules and Steve Angello are regulars.

VIVA WEST END For the regular season workers, this is the equivalent to a local. Everybody knows each other, or of each other. They occasionally offer open deck nights, so if you are a budding DJ, bring your records, CDs or USB stick. Drinks are cheap, and even cheaper if you are a worker.

PLAYA D’EN BOSSA

BORA BORA PLAYA D’EN BOSSA A long-standing member of the beach bar community, perhaps it’s not as hedonistic as it used to be, but its friendly staff and welcoming attitude remain the same. A favourite of the hardcore ravers and hippies alike. You could easily wile away days here.

SANDS PLAYA D’EN BOSSA Sitting at the far end of Playa D’En Bossa, Sands offers both style and charm. Often the location of blossoming label parties, you can see DJs here before they make it big time. The outdoor beds, sun loungers and horizontal vibes are perfection. They do a perfect job of selecting daytime beats and easing you into a more feisty night- time sound.

USHUAIA PLAYA D’EN BOSSA If you turn up expecting the dusty, rustic beach parties of before, unfortunately they are long gone. Ushuaia has moved a few hundred feet up the beach and has also got a hell of a lot more classy. They still have DJs spinning tunes out over the sands, but the drinks are a bit more expensive than before, as it’s not about the parties on the beach, it’s about the parties by their pool. order to get past security, and spend the day with Bob Sinclar, Luciano or Dennis Ferrer playing you party music.

OFF THE BEATEN TRACK

AURA CARRETERIA SAN JUAN A swanky restaurant and after-hours bar, this is for the high-rolling crowds. But don’t let that put you off, because it’s also possible to go and not spend a fortune, and just enjoy the welcoming vibes and Ginger Gin cocktails. A popular with Ibiza locals, even out of season, this place’s atmosphere is always bubbling and the bed-like-sofas are a bit too comfortable.

Blue Marlin

BLUE MARLIN CALA JONDAL Located next to the beautiful beach Cala Jondal, this feels a bit more St Tropez than Ibiza. Popular with the yacht crowd, this place ain’t cheap, but it’s worth checking out and a great place to treat yourself. Alongside a quality drinks menu, there is a great seafood menu and massages for purchase. Also the occasional night-time party here, so keep your ear out…
