HAILING from the Netherlands, Ferry is a favourite amongst our readers, holding the very honourable spot of No. 9 in last year’s Top 100 DJs poll. But this summer, he is waving goodbye to Rotterdam for a little while in order to bring some of his hard-hitting trance-tastic vibes to the island’s newest and most-talked-about club, Sankeys.
His Full On Ferry nights are well-known for regularly selling out Ahoy in Rotterdam, something that’s often attributed to Ferry’s curatorial panache. He only cherry- picks those that he has worked with, who inspire him and he’d like to work with. The plan is that each night will be a b-2-b set... offering the audience an utterly unique and one-off experience each time. The line-up has not been fully released, but these are some of the names being whispered about; Cosmic Gate, Gabriel & Dresden, Aly & Fila, Marco V, Lange and Solarstone. Surely that’s enough to whet your appetite. And if that doesn’t float your boat, ahem, ferry, then we don’t know what will! Perhaps the club’s crazy LED ceilings and walls, utterly immense soundsystem and bodysonic floor... Don’t forget to give Ferry his birthday bumps when you see him — this is his 20th year as a DJ. Hip, hip hooray!

qualities! OK, so it was originally just an aircraft hangar, but this place has been adapted beyond belief in order to make the ultimate trippy raving sensation. The DJ is suspended above the middle of a swimming pool and as the club gets busier, the dancefloor
gets bigger. This year at Privilege, the monolithic Tiësto is back for a fourth year running to play his mammoth sets, and has enlisted a little help from some friends in the shapes of Bassjackers,
Dem Slackers, Hardwell, Henrik B, Jordy Lishious, Karlsson &
Winnberg of Miike Snow, Marcel Woods, Nero, Otto Knows,
Rebecca and Fiona, Sandro Silva, Steve Aoki, Tai and more guests to be announced soon.
