ROLLING STOCK
ideal for rail industry infrastruc- ture and for building applica- tions.
W
WAGO’s spring pressure connec- tor technology is used throughout the UK and Europe for a multi- tude of rail industry installations, both on-board and trackside. Ap- plications include locomotives, rolling stock, points heaters and signalling systems.
Using WAGO terminations can dramatically reduce installation time and improve systems effi - ciency. However the company’s products are also suitable for a wide range of infrastructure ap- plications including stations, waiting rooms and large-scale building projects.
For example, WINSTA® modu- lar plug-and-play connectors can reduce wiring time by up to 70%. They are suitable for power, light- ing and control applications in both fi xed and temporary electri- cal installations and are ideal for ceiling, underfl oor and trunking systems.
Many leading lighting manufac- turers pre-fi t WINSTA® sockets to their luminaires to ensure a fully pluggable installation end to end. As a result, WINSTA® is used in some of the world’s most high profi le building projects, in-
AGO of Rugby offers in- telligent wiring solutions
cluding in the rail sector.
WAGO also offers intelligent solutions within its I/O system for building automation applica- tions, which can unite interacting utilities for designers, managers and installers. Specialist pro- tocols for building automation include LONWORKS, one of the most powerful bus systems de- veloped and used extensively in building projects, KNX, which simplifi es electrical installation, BACnet and ETHERNET at net- work level plus the standard in- dustrial fi eldbus protocols.
Also available is a range of gate- way modules for EnOcean, DALI and KNX. Cutting edge technol- ogy allows EnOcean sensors and the WAGO I/O System radio re- ceiver module to interface with- out the hindrance of cables and batteries. WAGO’s DALI master module can control up to 64 elec- tronic ballasts to create lighting scenes and confi gurations. There is also a choice of KNX products which deliver improved perfor- mance and versatility for intel- ligent building control.
These
include the modular KNX IP con- troller and KNX TPI bus module which, combined, offer an inte- gral KNX IP router capability.
