Razer’s Tron gaming gear hits retail Mouse, keyboard and mouse mat are inspired by Disney’s latest movie

RAZER HAS unveiled a new line of gaming peripherals to coincide with the release of Disney’s new film, Tron Legacy.


The range is available now from


Realtime Distribution and includes a mouse, keyboard and mouse mat. The Tron Gaming Mouse is inspired


by the world and vehicles of Tron. The unique light and sound effects react to the user’s in-game actions, emulating noises and colours from the movie. According to the vendor, the 5600DPI, 3.5G laser sensor enhances performance and provide tournament- grade precision. Meanwhile, the ambidextrous design means the mouse will be equally comfortable for right or left-handed users. Seven ‘hyperesponse’ buttons and a seven-foot braided USB cable add further practicality to the mouse.


Also in the new range is the Tron Gaming Mouse Mat, a hard surface measuring 290mm x 207mm. Like the mouse, the mat lights up according to


what is happening in the game; a blue tracking glow trail illuminates as the user swipes across the surface. The mat is designed for use with high sensitivity gaming mice and, Razer claims, offers the highest tracking precision. Finally, completing Razer’s new line is


the Tron Gaming Keyboard, which also recreates sounds and lights from the film.


The detachable, modular nature of


the keypad means it can be attached either side of the main keyboard according to personal preference, or to save space on the desktop. This function is complemented by fully programmable keys with macro capabilities. The flat, slim keycaps of the chiclet keyboard offer a short travel distance for immediate actuation of commands. Audio input and microphone output and a braided seven-foot cable complete the device.


The latest Tron film is a follow on from an earlier 1982 release which proved a Box Office success stateside
