Weehawken, NJ, Lodge members honored seventh-grade student Peyton Kennedy for finishing second in the 2009–2010 state Drug Awareness Essay Contest, as well as for winning the lodge and district contests, and presented her with a certificate, a plaque, and a proclamation from the New Jersey State Assembly congratu- lating her on her performance.
Cobleskill, NY, Lodge members honored the winners of their Drug Awareness Poster Contest in a ceremony at Golding Middle School and gave them each a gift card. The winners of the contest, in which 220 third- through fifth-grade students participated, were Allen Graulich (first), Sarah Bates (second), and Alexandra Pacatte (third).
Mechanicville-Stillwater, NY, Lodge members honored Mechanicville School student Madison Gowett in a ceremony at the lodge for winning the

Utica, NY, Lodge members gave a drug awareness bookmark to each of more than 1,300 third-grade students as part of a dictionary distribution program. Lodge members also distrib- uted 50 drug awareness coloring books to children during a lodge outing to a water park.
Bismarck-Mandan, ND, Lodge members, with the help of Elroy the Elk, staffed a drug awareness booth at a Children’s Safety Day hosted by the lodge and gave drug awareness stickers, coloring books, red ribbons, and pamphlets to about 400 children and adults who attended.
Durant, OK, Lodge members attended the Bryan County Free Fair and gave about 18,000 drug awareness pam- phlets, as well as stickers and red ribbons, to more than 800 children.
