El Cajon, CA, Lodge held its annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Night, which 220 people attended, honored 13 members of local law enforcement agencies, and gave the honorees plaques and certificates in recognition of their service to the community.
Escondido, CA, Lodge members gave a commemorative scarf and scarf slide to each of six scouts from lodge- sponsored Boy Scout Troop No. 669 who attended the 15-day Philmont 2010 camp.
Glendale, CA, Lodge held its annual Thanksgiving in August Dinner fund- raiser, which 125 people attended, and raised more than $2,800 for the lodge’s dictionary program.
Sierra Vista, AZ, Lodge held its annual Soccer Shoot, in which 75 children took part, and awarded trophies to the top two boys and girls in each of four age categories. Pictured are contestant Kailey Peters and her father, Kim.
In other news, the lodge donated the use of its lodge facilities to the local Humane Society to hold a spay and neuter clinic for about 125 pets.
Texarkana, AR, Lodge donated 31 electric box fans to local Councils on Aging in Texas and Arkansas to distribute to needy senior citizens.
Atascadero, CA, Lodge held 12 Tuesday Night Barbecue fund-raisers over a three-month period and raised a total of $50,000 for local charities and $6,000 for lodge charities. In other news, lodge members presented certificates to more than 50 individuals and businesses to recog- nize them for flying the US flag on September 11.
Buena Park, CA, Lodge hosted a Pancake Breakfast and Car Wash fund-raiser for lodge-sponsored Boy Scout Troop No. 440. The scouts served more than 60 breakfasts, washed nearly 90 cars, and raised $650 to support the troop’s activities.

Huntington Beach, CA, Lodge Surf Club held a Charity Car and Motor- cycle Show and raised more than $3,000 for Life Rolls On, a charity that helps people with spinal cord injuries to engage in activities they might not otherwise attempt. The funds will go to the organization’s They Will Surf Again Program.
