Y recognizing outstanding performers at the na- tional level, the GL Lodge Activities/State Asso- ciations contests bring prestige and an increased
level of involvement to the Order’s lodges and state associations. The contests give lodges across the nation the opportunity to Promote Elks Passion and to provide proof that Elks Care—Elks Share. Because each contest entry is judged only against other lodges or state asso- ciations at the same membership level, each lodge or state association has an equal opportunity to win. Please enter the Grand Lodge contests to ensure that your lodge or state association is properly recognized for its contributions to the Order. For lodge leaders, the real challenge is to help develop committees that will work to perfect the lodge’s activi- ties in each of the contest areas. Then the activities need to be properly documented and the materials submitted by each contest’s deadline. Chances are good that the lodge’s committees are already conducting almost all the activities that these contests cover (as they should be). For full information on requirements and deadlines,
