Alan Taylor, MCSP, is a clinical specialist in sports medicine at the Nottingham Nuffield Hospital and a former professional cyclist. He is currently involved in research into vascular flow problems in athletes in conjunction with Roger Kerry, MCSP, an extended scope practitioner at the York District Hospital. Pilates-Evolved Rehabilitation Programme
An 8-day comprehensive modular training programme specifically designed for physiotherapists and other rehabilitation professionals. Led by Polestar Certified physiotherapists, this series of four courses leading to certification provides participants with in-depth instruction in Pilates-evolved rehabilitation techniques. Applicable to general orthopaedics, sports and dance medicine, spine, neurological, paediatric and geriatric rehabilitation and treatment for chronic pain.
The Polestar approach involves comprehensive problem-solving skills and encourages adaptations and creativity to better serve patients. The course comprises both theory and practical exercise, using the full range of equipment including the Reformer, Trapeze Table, Combo Chair, Ladder Barrel, mat work and small props. The series consists of four modules of two days: P-R, R-1, R-2, R-3.
