FINDEN+HALES
Coordination is key for kidswear

The Kids Sports Polo (LV324) is available from age 5/6 right through to 13/14. Four great colour ways allow this polo to be mixed and matched across the range. This polo is also available for men and women. The 200 gsm 100% cotton pique is soft and durable. T shirts are an easy way to stay cool. With the popularity of the Men’s contrast panel T LV202 we decided to introduce a version for Kids. The Kids LV203 made from 100% cotton jersey so you know that it will be soft and comfortable. It’s important for kids to exercise. And we want them to feel safe and comfortable while doing so. The Kids Track Pants (LV822) have a fully elasticated waist as well as a zip at the lower leg and zippered pockets. These move with you and keep you feeling cool. The Piped Microfibre Track range from Finden+Hales is available for kids and adults, so that your entire team from coaches to players, from teachers to pupils is co-ordinated.
FRONT ROW
Great looks for active kids
Fashion casuals for kids come from Front Row, with their FR1b Children’s Long Sleeve Plain Rugby Shirt and FR4b Children’s Training Top. They are great for active kids on the go, yet smart enough to be worn just about anywhere, anytime. Always a favourite, the FR1b comes in sizes to fit 5-13 year olds and mirrors the ever- popular adult’s FR1 Long Sleeve Plain Rugby Shirt. Made from 300gsm heavy cotton jersey, the FR1b has all the essential rugby shirt features such as rubber buttons, taped shoulders and the traditional white cotton collar. It is comfy to wear, and is robustly constructed so will take the rough and tumble of kids’ club and holiday camp activities. It is available in fuchsia, red, royal, navy and bottle which are popular all year round. Training tops for kids have a definite place at summer camp, particularly where the timetable is action-packed and the camping is under canvas. Front Row’s FR4b Children’s Training Top (matched by the FR4 for adults) comes in sizes to suit ages 7-13 years and is a practical, long sleeve style. Made from 265gsm 100% cotton drill that again has a peached finish for a softer feel, the FR4b has ribbed cuffs and neck insert, side seam pockets and an open hem with adjustable toggle. FRUIT OF THE LOOM
New Kids Valueweight Ts fill a niche
The Girls Valueweight T and Kids Long Sleeve Valueweight T are the latest additions to Fruit of the Loom’s range of children’s activewear. The much requested new styles complement the popular Kids Valueweight T and Valueweight Toddler T and fill important product niches within the Fruit of the Loom Kids collection. “The new Kids T-shirts are suitable for a wide variety of uses, including children’s promotions, schoolwear and children’s sports and fitness clubs,” Alison McKenzie, brand director, comments. “The Girls’ T will also have strong appeal for dance schools and suppliers of licensed merchandise, while the long sleeve T is perfect for layering making it a great choice for sporty kids’ fashion ranges.” Alison McKenzie adds that the Girls Valueweight T was launched in response to the increasingly loud calls for more gender-specific children’s promotional wear. “Women enjoy wearing clothes that are made specially to fit them, so it makes sense that girls would prefer activewear that has been designed to fit them too. With few similar girls’ T-shirt styles available in the promotional wear market, the Girls Valueweight T will give Fruit of the Loom customers a decisive advantage over the competition,” she says. The Girls Valueweight T is made from Fruit of the Loom’s renowned 100% cotton Valueweight fabric, (160/165 gm/m2), which uses quality-guaranteed Belcoro yarns. It has a cotton/Lycra rib crew neck and features shorter sleeves and a smaller collar compared with the Kids Valueweight T, plus side seams with waist shaping for a flattering, comfort fit. There are eight colours available – black, deep navy, light pink, red, royal blue, sky blue, sunflower and white – and sizes range from 3-4 years to 14-15 years. The Kids Long Sleeve Valueweight T follows the launch of the Kids Long Sleeve 65/35 Polo in 2009. Featuring set-in sleeves and cotton/Lycra ribbed crew neck and cuffs (which allow the sleeves to be worn pushed up the child’s arms), the Long Sleeve Valueweight T is made in the same fabric as the Girls
Valueweight T and comes in black, deep navy, red, royal blue and white – and sizes 3- 4 years to 14-15 years. The Kids Valueweight T goes from strength to strength with the addition of new colour K2 Yellow for 2010. The new colour offers a brighter alternative to Fruit of the Loom’s Sunflower (34), which is already a popular option in the Kids Valueweight T, and picks up on the current trend of ‘brights’ on the high street. The introduction of the new colour means that the Kids Valueweight Ts palette now stretches to no fewer than 21 colours. The garment is available in sizes 3-4 years – 14-15 years. The Kids Valueweight Toddler T caters for the needs of end users as young as one year old: sizes range from 1-2 years – 2-3 years and there are seven colours to choose from. The garment has been specially sized for toddlers; so, for example, the neck opening is proportionately wider than that on the corresponding Kids Valueweight T, as a toddler’s head is larger relative to its body size. Every Valueweight Toddler T is scanned by metal detectors to check for broken needles before it leaves Fruit of the Loom’s state of the art Moroccan factory, and complies with all European safety legislation relating to baby and toddler clothing. “The Valueweight Toddler T is a popular choice for nursery schools and crèches, as well as tourism,” says Alison McKenzie. “It offers the same superior quality, value and printability of all the other styles in our extensive Valueweight T family, whilst meeting the specific size and safety requirements of the toddler market.”
