BTC activewear merger full of Hollywood Glamour

In true Hollywood style, Falk & Ross Group, the largest multi-brand clothing distributor in Europe, has announced a merger with BTC activewear, the UK’s fastest growing major distributor. The announcement was made at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! where BTC activewear’s award- winning Hollywood themed stand was ‘buzzing!’ Movie star look-a-likes, flowing Champagne and unadulterated glamour graphically illustrated the enormous excitement of both teams and the sheer energy they generate to keep growing and succeeding. Steve Ross from Falk & Ross said: “We have grown successfully across the continent operating out of nine countries. We have worked hard to bring our customers the very best garments and service but the question was how to replicate this

across the water? We discovered a synergy with BTC activewear and the opportunity to partner-up was, to be honest, too fantastic to miss.” Steve Pope, joint managing director of BTC activewear said: “We are extremely excited to join

forces with the strongest continental distributor, offering a meeting of like-minded organisations with a passion to deliver the best support and service to our customers.” Fellow director, Charles Grose commented: “In order to continue our development and be able to offer our industry the best range of merchandise, marketing material and technology, we have merged with Falk & Ross to create a £150m turnover group of companies, which will ensure that we remain at the top of our industry to offer the best solutions for our customers." Glenn Hyams added: “It’ll be business as usual – Steve, Charles and I will continue to be joint managing directors running the business alongside our existing management team, operating from our fantastic distribution centre in Wednesbury and our regional sales offices.”

Rainbow of colours on Just Hoods stand

There were all the colours of the rainbow on Just Hoods' stand as the full extent of the market-leading hoodies range was set out for all to see.

Business on the stand was brisk, as spokesman, Alan Waugh, told us: "We went to the maximum height available on this year's stand to show our 45 colours. Visually, it was stunning." From a standing start two years ago, the brand has increased from just one style in 30 colours to 10 styles in 45 colour choices. Adds Waugh: "We are the market leader – the biggest selling hoodie brand in the UK now – and we're still growing.” The Varsity hoodie, introduced last July in 12 colours, now comes in an additional five colours for 2010. And look out for more developments later this year.

| 26 | April 2010

Just Hoods use the Printwear & Promotion show as a barometer of people's needs. "The whole purpose of the stand is to get feedback on styles and to find out where people would like us to go next," continues Waugh. "All the developments that happened last year were done directly as a result of feedback on our stand." At this year's show, Just Hoods were showing visitors samples of future potential garments in the range. This year, Just Hoods will be looking at introducing a wider choice of sizes in core colours, as well as children's sizes in the Varsity hoodie.
