BALMORAL
Tee off in luxurious lambswool
Balmoral have launched deluxe lambswool pullovers in time for the 2010 golf season. With a Made in Scotland tag, and using the finest pure new lambswool yarn, a wide range of colours are now available. In addition to their four principle stock shades, Balmoral are offering 13 stock-supported shades including the season's must-have colours for the golf course. With icy blue and pastel green, poppy red and a truly volcanic orange, there are colours to suit all tastes, each of them in crew and V-neck styles, with a minimum order of six. And for the first time, Balmoral now have ladies' lambswool pullovers available in their stock- supported range, and again in seasonal shades, including a variety of pinks and blues.
The crew-neck styles can be lined with windproof, breathable Permatex fabric to order. One of the major Scottish golf courses has already signed up to use Balmoral's deluxe lambswool range from their embroidery supplier, so if you think you might be able to do the same with your local clubs, contact Balmoral for more details.

BEECHFIELD
Two new performance golf styles
Beechfield has added two new performance headwear styles to its range of golf caps and hats. And they are especially well suited for use during wet or colder weather. The B186 Tactel Performance Cap is a new all- weather design. The hydrophobic Tactel fabric is enhanced with a waterproof and breathable coating. The 100% polyester Coolmax fabric sweatband keeps the player dry ‘from the inside’ – wicking sweat away from the head – and an elasticated cord size adjuster with toggle ensures a perfect fit for all. The cap features a modern, sporty, 5-panel design, featuring curved side panels, two panels on the crown and a single-piece front panel, (for seam- free decoration). The B186 is available in black, graphite grey and stone/navy. For colder days, Beechfield has introduced the B447 Thinsulate Knitted Hat. An update of the well-loved B47, the new style uses the very latest Thinsulate material to produce a hat with a sleeker, less bulky profile and enhanced insulating

performance. The Thinsulate insulating lining will keep heads warm on even the coldest winter morning as well as providing decorators with a strong, additional sales proposition. The B477’s crown has an attractive ribbed texture; however, Beechfield has given the B447 a non-ribbed turn-up. “This helps with decoration, providing a smoother surface for the application of embroidered designs, badges etcetera,” Roger McHugh, Beechfield’s managing director, explains. The B447 is available in one size and in dark graphite and French navy colours. The two new styles join the highly specified and hugely popular B185 Pro-Style Ball Mark Golf Cap, which incorporates a magnet in the peak and complementary metal ball marker. Beechfield’s golf headwear offering also includes the B181 Coolmax Performance Cap, B41 Sports Visor, B88 Cargo Bucket Hat, and B45 Knitted Hat B181 along with a broad selection of sporty Pro-Style,
Low Profile, Smartfit and 5-
Panel cap designs. “Golf caps are as much a part of the game as polo shirts and golf shoes – you’ll rarely, if ever see, a professional golfer who isn’t wearing all three during a round,” says Roger McHugh. "Caps and hats not only provide protection from the sun, wind and rain, they are also the ideal place to position a sponsor’s name or logo to ensure the maximum visibility and exposure. That’s why every golf society prize package, corporate golf day giveaway, and pro-shop own-brand apparel collection should include a decorated item of golf headwear – players will value and use it, and there is no better place for advertising a business or organisation on the golf course.”
