GOLFWEAR
PENCARRIE
A refined collection from two top brands
PenCarrie’s golfwear collection focuses on clothing and accessories from two of the most highly respected brands within retail, namely Glenmuir and adidas. Glenmuir’s collection includes the brand’s much- loved lambswool knitwear, wind shirt, waterproof trousers, waterproof jacket and an impressive range of polo shirts, including four new styles for 2010. The collection from adidas also includes new designs for this year (trousers, polo shirt, rain jacket and a holdall) significantly increasing the range which includes wind shirts, polo shirts and a six-panel cap. Both brands use specially developed performance fabrics extensively, which is why their products are always in demand. Colour is also key to their popularity. With Glenmuir, the use of contrast colour is

a particular forte; while adidas offers greater choice in plain colours. Glenmuir’s skilful use of contrast colour is most evident in the brand’s polo shirt collection including the four new styles for this season. For example, ‘bold brushstrokes’ on the front shoulders of the new GM43 Hi Cool Draw Pique Polo Shirt give a crispness to the garment’s shape. The new GM47 Performance Curve Pique Polo Shirt has a contrast top back panel plus a splash of colour on each front shoulder. The GM44 Skibo Pique Polo Shirt is more understated with contrast inner placket, taped neck and side vents; tipped collar; and fine trimming along shoulders and cuffs. The GM42 Hi-Cool Fade Jersey Polo Shirt is different again with a main feature of contrast colour panels running up the body sides and under the arms. Performance fabrics used for the shirts incorporate Coolflex, HiCool or ThermoCool moisture management to keep golfers comfortable during play. Each system provides its own particular benefits, clearly summarised in PenCarrie’s catalogue and on the website at www.pencarrie.com . From adidas, new products for 2010 include the AD41 ClimaCool Trousers made from 100% polyester Coolmax stretch woven fabric. ClimaCool provides ventilation and moisture management for the body; Coolmax gives sun protection of UPF15+. Many of the adidas polo shirts available from

Glenmuir delivers on style and quality
Glenmuir is one of the most trusted and well- known brands in the promotional golfwear sector. Prestige Leisure UK has been graced with new polos for this year’s collection and what a year this is going to be. The sheer thrill of the Ryder Cup will be enticing all amateurs and Sunday golfers alike to dust off their equipment and purchase a new look in clothing for the coming season. Anticipating this demand Glenmuir are delivering on both style and quality. A perfect example is the GM42 Hi Cool Fade, made from a blend of 70/30 cotton/polyester for comfort and durability. This extremely attractive garment encompasses contrast colour details at the cuff, shoulder seam, underarm and button placket. An anti- curl collar completes the package by making ironing that little bit easier. It must be seen and held to be appreciated in full. Using the same values and attributes Glenmuir present us with the GM43 Hi Cool Draw. The difference with this garment is in the styling. Instead of the traditional button placket we see an optically seamless zip and the contrast colours are drawn forward to the front of the shoulders for a stunning look, especially on the black/white version. Sizes run in the GM42/43 range from S- XXL.

The thought of a 100% polyester polo might make some buyers very tentative as normally this type of fabric is less comfortable than other fabrics so why is the AD11 men’s and AD19 ladies' version from Adidas any different? Climacool technology is the answer. Engineered to maximize performance, scientifically designed microfibres improve airflow to the skin for reduced temperature. A highly breathable synthetic construction wicks moisture away from the skin for quick evaporation and
fast drying.
Both are available in the same uniform colours of black, navy, red and white and available in sizes S- XXL. The new AD41 Climatology pant from Adidas has also been added to the collection. Mesh ventilation is positioned in critical lower body heat zones for maximum breathability and comfort – an outstanding choice for a lightweight and quality
trouser this season. It’s versatile too, with colours in two different shades of beige, black, navy and traditional white.

Another new design, the AD55 ClimaProof Provisional Rain Jacket is ideal for golfers to have available at all times as it is lightweight, breathable and fully waterproof. The new sports bag from adidas makes another excellent add-on sale to any order for golf wear. The AD85 University Medium Holdall is a high quality multi-featured design with an excellent capacity yet will fit easily into the changing room locker.

Adding to this, the sizing range is 30-40” waist and 30, 32 and 34” leg. Golfers' demands for lambswool crew and V-neck sweaters continues to grow. Ashworth Golf Company meets the demand with their longstanding favourites AW63 Crew and AW64 V- neck. The heavyweight 100% lambswool fabric provides the wearer with all year round performance, warmth and quality. Featuring the Ashworth logo on the left sleeve gives these garments the stylish branding that golfers look for across the nation. Available in five traditional colours, sizes are S-XXL. Everyone at Prestige is very much looking forward to this year and of course the Ryder Cup; come on Europe!
