celebrates a successful 21st show

After months of preparation the International PROMOTA Show 2010 opened its doors on March 1 and 2 to visitors from across the promotional merchandise industry.

the two day exhibition – which this year was celebrating its 21st birthday. This year the show co-located with Printwear & Promotion LIVE – which saw almost 4,500 visitors making the most out of the day out of the office by visiting two shows under one roof. This year’s show included key features such as the open-plan PROMOTA stand where members could talk to the secretariat and find out more about their membership, a Business Clinic where a host of experts where on hand to give tips and advice and a goodie bag sample area where visitors could take home the latest products on offer.

Roy Deakin, managing director of The Bizz Badge Company, said he was particularly delighted with attendance on the first day of the show. "The general quality of the enquiries and the people who attended were very good. I was also delighted to be presented with the best stand award too!" Cathy Anderson, sales manager of Remarkable, said: “I’m pleased with the show. We saw over 50 companies on the first day. The quality of the customers and the enquiries was good. We got lots of quote requests and some strong leads to follow up and it raised interest in Remarkable.” The two stands which stood out were The Bizz Badge Company and Keramikos who were awarded Best Stand and Best Shell Scheme respectively. The winner of the online pairs game on the show website was also announced on the day, Danny Holmes from High Profile took home the iPod Touch after completing the game in just 25.6 seconds! After the first day of the show members made their way to the National Motorcycle Museum for the highly anticipated PROMOTA annual awards and dinner evening. The evening, which followed an Irish theme this year, began with drinks in the bar and networking before guests took their seats for a three course meal. During the evening members were invited by MC Brian Seymour-Smith to dig deep into their pockets and donate to PROMOTA’s chosen charity SPARKS, and raised more than £800!
